About the Jersey Gambling Commission
The Jersey Gambling Commission is responsible for the regulation of gambling in the Island. We have responsibility for all commercial and charitable gambling, with the exception of the Channel Islands Lottery, which is administered directly by the Government of Jersey.
Remote Gambling Resources
The Commission offers licences, permits and approvals in five different categories, including operators, platform providers, hosting providers, software designers and testing houses.
Land-Based Commercial Gambling Resources
Commercial gambling is defined in the Law as a business which contracts directly with a customer and for profit. There are various licences required before you proceed with any form of Lottery, Gambling & Entertainment that provides monetary prizes.
Social & Charitable Resources
The Commission approves Social & Charitable Gambling activities that are conducted by charitable organisations, clubs, groups or societies that are based and run from Jersey.
